Set by D&AD, the brief addresses a media saturated world where books have slipped from the pop culture spotlight. It asks how Penguin can make reading culturally unavoidable again and encourage deeper engagement from occasional readers.


Solution

Reading is personal and often solitary. This campaign brings that private moment into public spaces by anonymously sharing the last page read through Penguin Pages, a speculative smart bookmark that broadcasts onto digital screens. While fictional, the concept draws from speculative design to prompt new ways of thinking about how we engage with reading and culture.
